Lake Plitvice is effortlessly located between Zagreb and Split, so it is able to pass either city without issue. The drive from Zagreb takes about an hour, although Split is and 1/2 hour away.. Regular bus services run daily from both cities, making it a super day trip or a day at Forestal.
